Psoriasis is a chronic condition which results in scaly red plaques throughout the body, most commonly on the elbows and knees. It is frequently genetic in origin. A number of treatment options are available from topical medications to ultraviolet light therapy. Some patients with more severe cases have elected treatment with new “biologic” medications. We have an ultraviolet light box here at the office, and patients for whom phototherapy is prescribed may visit at any time during normal business hours; an appointment is not needed. As each patient has different needs and concerns, treatment is individualized. For more information, please visit: and
