Jay Geller, MD, FAAD, FASD, FASDS

Dr. Geller is a Board-Certified Dermatologist in New Jersey and a Board-Certified Dermatopathologist with over 30 years of clinical practice experience. Dr. Geller provides personalized and compassionate care to his patients and specializes in cancerous and precancerous lesions of the skin and skin pathology.. He is a Fellow of The American Academy of Dermatology, The American Society of Dermatopathology, and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery. Certification is only given to those who display that they have achieved the required medical competence plus the high level of care and dedication needed to lead in this specialty. Dr. Geller has been recertified three times as a Board Certified Dermatologist by the American Board of Dermatology which has required countless hours of Continuing Medical Examination and passing numerous examinations during his career.

After graduating number one in his class from Morristown High School in New Jersey, he graduated from Dartmouth College Magna Cum Laude with High Distinction from Dartmouth College and with Honors in numerous courses at Dartmouth Medical School. He served an Internship at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City and completed a Residency where he received exceptional training as a Dermatology Resident and Chief Resident at Wayne State University in Michigan. Dr. Geller completed two Dermatopathology Fellowships at New York University and the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He also served an Internship in Internal Medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. He regularly scored well over the 90th percentile in the nation on mock board examinations in Dermatology and Dermatopathology during his training. 

He has comprehensive range of medical, surgical, cosmetic dermatology services, skin disease and skin pathology, including skin cancer diagnosis and treatment, lesion removal, acne treatment, rash and psoriasis treatment, Botox, fillers, cosmetic laser treatments and in diagnosis and treatment of cancerous and precancerous lesions of the skin including basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, malignant melanoma, atypical (dysplastic) moles, actinic (solar) keratoses, and cutaneous T cell lymphoma (mycosis fungoides) and more. The practice uses the latest modern technology and techniques to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.

Dr. Geller diagnoses biopsy slides prepared in the practice’s advanced histopathology laboratory. Two years of his training, at New York University and the Mayo Clinic, were dedicated exclusively to skin pathology and diagnosing a large number of rare conditions. He has made dozens of professional presentations and has publications in Dermatology and Dermatopathology. As a top Dermatologist in NJ, listed as such in the Consumers’ Research Council of America’s Guide to America’s Top Dermatologists, Dr. Geller has always excelled in his field.
